We Confirm!

We got our Seeking Confirmation Letter!!!

It arrived at our agency on Tuesday and was immediately overnighted to our home. Yesterday, Andrew walked in the door about 5 minutes after the UPS guy came, to which we snapped a few pics of the momentous occasion and then signed on the dotted line! Yes, we confirm we want to adopt Ma An An! This morning we overnighted it back to our agency and then it will arrive in Beijing! We are as official as it gets folks!

Wait, now wasn't there something else I was suppose to mention...

    With much delight and anticipation I announce our daughter's family name:

   

Annika An Orlando

It is pronounced "on"/ short "i"/ "kuh". We like it for a number of reasons. Because we have all gotten so use to calling her An An ("on") we like that we still can. Also, it happens to be a combination of the endings of my first and middle name - Tavianna Marika. Annika means grace and An means peace. We like the idea that this was a common form of greeting, "grace and peace be with you" for many of the epistles. But most of all it just seems to fit us. Making the factors of the heart complete as you give a child a forever place in a family, our family!

So what's next? We wait for our Travel Approval. Which is our invitation to come to China. Then one last step and that is to make an appointment with the American Consulate in China! Looks like mid August for departure date. Hello, MID AUGUST! Woohoo!
