daddy love

Annika has pretty much found mama to be her security blanket. But some days I can see that someone else wins her heart as well, if truth be told. And a little girl that finds this much delight in her daddy's lap will enjoy that love for the rest of her life.

Easter

Baby's First Easter... well almost, not quite a baby but it sure was a fun first for Annika nonetheless! We were so thrilled that we all weren't in winter coats this year that we could have just sat in the sun all day and called it a happy Easter. But it was much more than warmth. Truly it was warmth for our hearts, being together as family and together with Jesus.

eleven {11}

I love having times to celebrate. This time it was to celebrate eleven years of parenthood. We've all learned and accomplished a lot over those years but to the oldest goes the forging nature of every year to come. And forging he does, very well.

We are taking on a new instrument to our ears this year as Nicholas pursues the electric guitar. Ain't it a beauty! His cinematography skills are also being fine tuned through the stop motion creativity involved in clay animation. His siblings provided ample clay towards this end. And Nicholas is proving to have a very keen eye for seeing through the camera lens of life, mostly on a micro level. A beautiful red Canon of his very own was given from Grammy. In coming posts the shots of subjects rendered might not all be from my own hands. A welcome addition.
