I just marked 34 years in this lovely world. And as always, a new season begins directly following my birthday. That season is obviously, autumn. I have to say that this is the first time I've spent harvest season in the cooler northwest and thus I didn't really notice much of a change. Well, not discounting the drastic increase in cloud cover and subsequent rainfall. Which at this point, I adore.
A very dear friend of mine sent me a bit of autumn in a package. A pair of hand knit socks. Besides the toasty warmth that they brought to my tootsies all evening long, they exchanged the great love of life itself - friendships. My day was full of unexpected phone calls, notes, letters and gifts to which all the years spent on becoming someone result in expressing that others have shared it with you too.
